About

Who We Are

UTHR is the University of Toronto Humanoid Robotics team. We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers, computer scientists, and designers building Canada's first full-scale bipedal humanoid robot from the ground up.

Founded in 2026, we work at the intersection of mechanical design, embedded systems, and machine learning. We are open to students across all disciplines and experience levels.

Recruitment

Join the Team

We are looking for driven students from all disciplines who want to work on one of the most technically ambitious student projects in Canada. No prior experience required — only curiosity and commitment.

Real engineering. Work on hardware and software that has never existed before at the student level in Canada.
Early-stage impact. Joining now means you help define the team's direction, culture, and technical roadmap from the ground up.
All disciplines welcome. Engineering, computer science, business, and beyond. If you are serious about the work, there is a place for you.
